Gatsby at the Hackley and Hume

October 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm UTC-4

Take a step back in time and join us at the Hackley & Hume Historic Site for a two-part program! Begin the evening in the City Barn with a discussion led by Dr. Michael Van Dyke of Hope College on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel, The Great Gatsby. Dr. Van Dyke will explore the book’s themes, characters, and historical context. Complete the evening with a tour of the Queen Anne Victorian-styled Hume House, which has been restored with 1920s furnishings and décor. Attendees will be entered to win a set of four tickets for a Holiday Tour of the Hackley and Hume Houses. This event is free but space is limited. Registration is required and is open from Sept 18 @ 6 pm to Oct 16 @ 6 pm and can be found on the MADL website linked to the right.
