Pedro Martín is the Newbery Honor Award, Pura Belpré Author, and Illustrator award-winning creator of this year’s Middle Read Lakeshore pick, Mexikid: A Graphic Memoir. Hear about Pedro’s journey from picking strawberries as the son of an immigrant sharecropper to Master Artist at Hallmark to award-winning graphic memoirist. Learn some behind-the-scenes stories about the making of a graphic memoir and how you can tell your own story, too. Pedro’s books will be available for purchase.
