Dr. Kathleen Verduin, Professor of English at Hope College, will answer the question “Why read Moby Dick?”  As an American literature professor, Verduin regularly reads Herman Melville’s Moby Dick with her Hope College students and we know she’ll convince you to read it (or re-read it) after attending her event! Verduin will discuss the literary importance of Moby Dick and why it remains relevant today.
