In partnership with Big Read Lakeshore, the North Branch Story Project will take young authors on a hero’s journey. Over the course of five Thursdays our authors will read and study current and past Middle Read and Little Read selections like Zita the Spacegirl and Last Stop on Market Street, workshop and storyboard ideas, and learn from library staff and local writers and educators. Each author will complete the project by writing their own picture book or graphic novel that will be put into the library’s circulation through the end of the 22/23 school year. Registration required beginning September 22. Authors do not have to attend each session, but there will be weekly requirements that must be completed in order to have a book catalogued. For more information, please email [email protected].
