Staff from the Lakeshore Museum will bring the era to life, delving into the local stories and trends that mirrored the national “Jazz Age.” Discover how the lumber and manufacturing industries shaped Muskegon’s economy and culture, the rise of leisure activities like movie theaters, dance halls, and the burgeoning popularity of automobiles, the impact of national trends like flapper fashion and jazz music on the local scene, and the everyday lives of Muskegon residents, from factory workers to shopkeepers to socialites. Registration is Required and is open from Oct 8 @ 6 pm to Nov 5 @ 6 pm.
